The inaugural Grand Designs Australia Live took place this weekend at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our friends at LAVA was chosen by Wallpaper* magazine to create a light in collaboration with Philips with the lamp Evolution currently on display at Handmade at current Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Milano, 13-17 April 2011.

Italian design-duo Roberto and Stefano Truzzolillo of Amitrani have created the Ardea lamp. Yup, we continue our obsession of wood products and the Ardea is a lamp realised in oak wood, the light source composed by LED extended along the arm of the lamp. It only consumes 1,4W and is easily turned on via a touch tronic system with a metallic button on the base of the lamp. Ta da! (more…)
