Sydney-based fashion label Saint Augustine Academy Autumn/Winter 2010 mens collection is evocatively titled “The Lamentations of Euchrid the Mute”. Designer Alvin Manalo drew inspiration from Nick Cave’s 1989 dark and gothic novel “And The Ass Saw The Angel” for this collection.

Up and coming menswear designer Eduardo Rivera from Spain, was recently selected to showcase at the prestigious Tranoï men’s show during Paris Fashion Week. For over 15 years, I have now been a hair dresser both in London and Sydney, and I have noticed the number of male clients on the rise, particularly in the last 5 years. Sydney is a fashionable town, and the boys are up there with the girls in terms of grooming and personal style. Men hairstyles have evolved to reflect this, and a large amount of our time in the salon is spent with male clients who are keen to complete their look with a fashion-forward hairstyle.
