Sony Ericsson Jalou + Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana

The word on the street says top scientists at Sony Ericsson have discovered that women like mobile phones to look like large fake jewels with hidden compact mirrors for hours looking at themselves on public transport, step counts to prove they are exercising, horoscopes to confirm they aren’t crazy and RSS feeds from D&G to ensure they don’t miss out on the newest ankle breaking 8 inch heel trend. Putting Sony Ericsson’s somewhat odd and archaically stereotypical findings aside, the Jalou actually looks like a solid phone. Far be it for me to suggest that major corporations are still targeting our insecurities with their market research…

Sony has jammed this thing with more features than the average person is likely to use but I have always had a strong “I’d rather have it and not use it than need it and not have it” mentality. The only difference I could spot between the standard edition and the special D&G edition are the colour schemes and the D&G RSS feed.

Apart from the mirror key to check your hair before a hot date and Walk Mate step counter to see how far you have walked while out shopping, Sony Ericsson Jalou and Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana also include highlights of 3.2 megapixel camera, video recording, stereo FM radio, music player with Bluetooth stereo, PlayNow and TrackID, Bluetooth 2.0, Internet – Google search, Google maps, email, instant messaging, picture messaging, YouTube application, 3D games, video viewing and it won’t weigh your handbag down at only 84 grams.

Both mobile phone versions are slated for Q4 2009 world launch with the D&G version available only in “Sparkling Rose”.
