Ovalia Egg Chair, the re-birth of a classic
The Ovalia Egg Chair became a success when it exhibited for the first time at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair in 1968. The chair was sold up until 1978 throughout the world. In recent times, the classic furniture has made a much anticipated return with some improvements but no visible changes to the timeless yet contemporary design.
Standing on a removable and rotating foot, the chair is in a shell of glass fibre-reinforced polyester painted shiny white. The interior material includes wool/nylon fabric with cushions in polyester and synthetic padding, available in more then 20 different colours. Each Ovalia Egg Chair sold comes with a sterling silver medallion, signed and numbered by the Danish designer Henrik Thor-Larsen.
