We were thrilled to hear about the co-operation between Marimekko Corporation and Sirpi S.p.A. – which also incorporates the renowned Italian wallpaper brand and lifestyle store Jannelli & Volpi. In Italy, the first Marimekko wallpaper collection was launched at the Jannelli & Volpi showroom in Milan during the Furniture Fair in April 2009.

The new Marimekko wallpaper collection represents the top of its field combining Marimekko strong design know-how and Sirpi over 100 years of experience in high-quality wallpaper production. The first Marimekko collection includes both well-known classics and more recent designs of bright colours and powerful graphic patterns, characteristic of the Finnish design company. The designs are well-suited for home interior and office spaces as well as public areas.

The range of Marimekko patterns is said to grow and diversify annually. The co-operation covers the EU countries, the USA, Russia, China and some Middle East countries, among others. We hope Australia belongs to the latter group.

The Marimekko wallpaper will be available in rolls of 10,05m x 70cm on a non-woven base. The high-technology wallpaper is washable and comes with the IGI quality certificate.
