Kas 30th anniversary – bedlinen as couture gowns
In celebration of 30 years of soft furnishing, we witnessed an Australia first – bed linen turned into couture gowns. Kas Australia showcased a range of couture gowns and corsets made exclusively from Kas bed linens and fabrics at the Royal Doltone House in Sydney. View some of the event photos.
Hosted by Australian glamour Sophie Falkiner who also took the catwalk to model some of the 30 pieces designed to mark the significance of the brands 30th collection, the night celebrated the new Spring/Summer collection 2009/2010. “It is a pleasure for me to be involved in not only a special occasion for Kas, but something that is very unique to the Australian design industry,” Sophie commented.
Kas Australia Brand Manager and creator of the couture pieces, Ben David teamed up with Studio Faro Director Anita McAdam to bring to life the Kas couture collection of 30 gowns. The couture collection also coincides nicely with high fashion during Spring Carnival.
