For those of you in the market for a new bedside table that just happens to be a cool piece of conceptual design, look no further than the “This table will self destruct” from the good people at Studio 1am from Chicago.

Studio 1am has engineered this table to be exclusive by design in that every piece produced will not only be different from the rest of the production line but slowly smaller. A “pixel” will be removed from each table made until the product is rendered unusable. By taking out more and more squares of concrete not only does the bedside table start to take on a life of its own but you are guaranteed that one of a kind piece of furniture you signed up for.

The concept behind the design is to make a truly finite collectable piece of bedroom furniture. Many people have been sucked into purchasing something with the promise that there will be a limited run only to find that the designer has started a second or third production run after selling out the original. If you are interested, you should get one soon as there are already 33 pixels missing!
