Illustration Now! book was first published in 2005 followed by a real need for a comprehensive showcase of what was happening in the contemporary illustration scene and the worldwide revival of the art.

The latest volume Illustration! 3, presents a completely new selection of illustrators from 30 countries. It feels fresh and very fascinating to hold a thick printed book filled with a mix of today’s most exciting illustrators in your hand. This is a must-have for artists, graphic designers, illustrators, art students and other creative people as well as those who simply appreciate art and visuals. At the least, it makes a captivating coffee table book or conversation starter at any hip office reception.

Flicking through the crisp colourful pages, it is admirable to find draftsmen still using a vast range of techniques to create art in today’s digital world. The book provides a perfect overview of the industry including career paths and exhibitions to date of each illustrator. Also included is an introduction by specialist Steven Heller on current trends in the field.

The Editor himself, Julius Wiedemann was born in Brazil, studied graphic design and marketing, and was an art editor for digital and design magazines in Tokyo. Other titles by the editor are Animation Now!, Advertising Now!, the Web Design series, and 1,000 Favorite Websites. Illustration! 3 is published by German Taschen and distributed via The Scribo Group in Australia.
