The traditional pool table has undergone a modern transformation with the G-1 Glass Top Pool Table. As we have not been able to physically test play, we remain a bit sceptical about this product but hope the feel of game still stays the same as they claim. Australian design worth a mention after all as this is the world’s first transparent top pool table.

The G-1 Glass Top Pool Table features a patented transparent film surface called Vitrik, which claims to provide same resistance as felt does and make the balls glide quietly and smoothly with less fibres in the material.

Different colours available in both transparent and a variety of frosted or mirrored finishes. The frosted finish is said to create a visual effect of the balls floating on ice and if lit from underneath, the whole surface glows. Frame and bumpers are also available in a variety of choices. Balls and cues are standard.  The accessory kit includes 2.25” balls, triangle, two matching silver cues and bridge stick.

Is this fancy glass top pool table worth the hefty price tag?
