Microsoft isn’t normally making me light up with a smile but on April 6th, I saw the release of a system update that gives the Xbox 360 compatibility with USB drives for profile storage. That’s right, you can now use a portable USB drive to store all your goodies. You can play with your own profile at your friend’s house now and even cart along games with you.

Don’t get too excited though, MS has put a cap on how big a USB drive you can use so you’ll be stuck at 16GB max. It’s a lucky thing that Sandisk has an Xbox 360 branded 16GB USB drive now for the price of a standard 20GB Xbox internal drive.
