Skullcandy headphones have been around since 2003 with products for Snow, Ski, Skate, Surf, Wake, Moto, Bike and Music including headphones, mp3 and mobile phone integrated accessories (or “the sickest dope apparel” as they probably would say themselves). Big news on the street is their upcoming launch of a multi-year headphone collaboration project with Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s music and entertainment company.

Roc Nation Aviator headphones will be first out from the range. The design inspired by high-fashion eyewear, seems to be of world-class quality and a bit more sophisticated than Scullcandy’s usual outrageous gear. With top grade metals, polycarbonate headphones cups, plush and memory foam ear pillows finished with premium optics, there will be three different colours available. The Aviators are foldable and comes with a pair of 40mm full-range mylar drivers with neodymium magnets, and a tangle-free nylon cable with an in-line microphone and controls.

We have previously featured other similar collabs with the music industry such as Monster Heartbeats in-ear headphones by Lady Gaga for women and HP, Monster Interscope Beats by Dre which are a bit more masculine. We reckon the Scullcandy Roc Nation Aviator headphones will suit both cool dude and dudettes with a unisex appeal. Unfortunately, we have no info on pricing but watch out for the launch in June.
