Boasting a whopping 1.7 inch display screen the new Apple iPod Nano might finally prove that good things come in small packages. Clichéd it may be but if this thing was any smaller you might swallow it in your sleep. This of course doesn’t please everyone but we all knew that Apple was going to start putting multi-touch screens on everything it makes sooner or later.

The new Apple Nano can pack in all your favourite tunes, it comes in two flavours at 8GB and 16GB respectively and in all the colours of the rainbow. It will feature a belt clip so you can show off just how cool you are and has a 24-hour battery life.

Other features include pedometer, Nike+ iPod Sport Kit (sold separately), shake to shuffle, genius mix compatible and an FM radio with live pause feature (people still want FM radios?) make this a rather robust little player.

It’s likely that you won’t be able to get your hands on one of these for a while unless you stand in line on release day (which could be anyone’s guess since it was just announced) so you’ll have to look at these lovely press photos in the mean time.
