Vivid Sydney is the new festival broken down into four categories: Creative Sydney, Luminious, Smart Light Sydney and Fire Water. In its now final week of activities, we must confess that we have been so overwhelmed of the listed events schedules on top of our busy lives that we haven’t actually taken much part of the festivities yet… but we will try before it ends. It is now or never, let’s see if it will blow our minds, anyone else that needs to prep themselves up for the final countdown?

You can enjoy the “Luminous” projecting arts displays on the Opera House sails. And, if you are in town this weekend, there will be a Fire Water event at The Rocks featuring the dramatic re-creation of the fire that devastated the 19th-century convict ship the Three Bees sending its cannon balls blazing across Sydney Harbour. Fire sculptures, light installations, music and floating lantern workshops will surely set some sparks to the cold winter night! Brrr…..
