Sydney Design 09: PYD
It was all happening at the dynamic PYD building in Waterloo at Saturday in Design. The award-winning building is a hub for funky retail spaces and showrooms including Arte Sofas, De Poortere, Koda Lighting and Rogerseller just to mention a few. It is a design destination for many architects, specifiers, interior designers and design-savvy shoppers. We spotted a similar trend we could see in kitchens at the Electrolux showroom of contrasting black and white also in bathrooms at Rogerseller as well as later on at stylish Schiavello showroom in Surry Hills.
At Saturday in Design event, PYD also housed companies in the garage such as ArthurG, ISM Objects, James Richardson Group, Sebel Furniture and Tait. It had a great underground feel with music, beer, wine, industry experts, design students and trend-seekers roaming the floor with one common thing – a love for great design.
