We encourage designers to participate and we will also offer our subscribers the opportunity to visit the event via an exclusive giveaway! Design:Made:Trade is a core event of the State of Design Festival showcasing Australia’s unique design culture. The Fair features manufacturers, product designers and design makers. As a boutique event, Design:Made:Trade is specifically created for designers seeking collaboration with manufacturers, retailers, architects, building and interiors industry specifiers and export buyers. The fair offers an unparalleled platform for practising designers to present themselves to national, regional and international markets. Design:Made:Trade was voted the best new show 2008 by Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia
Designers from a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise, including furniture, industrial, textiles, graphic, fashion, custom and hand-made objects, are invited to take advantage of the audience of 3,000+ Trade Visitors and 2,000+ Public Visitors.
Location & Schedule
The event will take place 16-19 July 2009 in the historic Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton
Day 1 & 2 are trade only days. Day 3 & 4 are both trade and public days.
Participants
Participation is limited and selection is based on originality, commercial viability and innovation. Selected applications will be invited to showcase designs and products in a Design Box: 3 metre by 3 metre space.
Participation in Design:Made:Trade is based upon selection and cost of involvement is $2,000 +GST. Included in this fee is the design box, lighting, signage on your stand, your own web page on the State of Design website, listing in the guide handed to buyers at the entry of the Fair and access to the VIP buyers program. Space is limited. Applications assessed in order of receipt.
