About Art Melbourne 2010
Art Melbourne 2010 continues to support independent artists with The Studio. Visitors can chat directly with the 25 hand picked artists about their practise and collect works which are unavailable elsewhere in Victoria.
The event will also feature some amazing street art including limited edition prints from Banksy exclusively on sale at the event. Banksy, the exclusive street artist who keeps his identity secret, is internationally respected for his street art, but became well-known to Melbournians in 2003 after his laneway graffiti stencil of a small, faceless man known as ‘Banksy’s little diver’. The piece was later vandalized. There will also be works on display from other world artists such as Amsterdam based tattoo artist Angelique Houtkamp.
Providing art lovers with an exclusive round up of emerging superstars, Off The Wall, Australia’s most innovative art prize, is an absolute must see. Revealing secrets of the art world along with exciting insider knowledge, The PT Equities Art Walks will take place throughout the three day event.
