It’s hard to get the “Zoom zoom zoom” jingle out of our heads, the guys over at Mazda Japan have been busy bees. Their award winning small car Mazda 3, all-new model, second generation will be arriving in April 2009.

Chief designer Kunihiko Kurisu’s mission was to remain faithful to the Mazda 3 existing visual identity while evolving its appearance with richer, bolder design strokes. This is the Mazda design team’s expression of its Nagare, or “flow” design language.

The exterior styling features “teardrop” headlights, larger wheel arches and the sporty five-point front grille makes the small car even more appealing. The interior cabin is based on Mazda’s Human Machine Interface concept, boasting sweeping dash, a large instrument cluster and key controls placed at the same level as the steering wheel and gear shift.

The refined chassis aims to offer better handling, agility and silky rides with no increase in body weight. The all new Mazda 3 will be available in both hatchback and sedan.
