GoCycle, world’s lightest electric bicycle
GoCycle is an innovative fold-up urban bicycle powered by a high performance electric motor. Designed by Richard Thorpe, a former Formula 1 engineer, the eco-friendly bike was refined over six years with a Taiwanese company.
Weighing only 16.2kg, it is currently the world’s lightest electric bicycle. The front wheel hub houses a small electric motor which delivers instant power that can quickly reach top speeds of 15mph. The GoCycle fully charged can take you around 20 miles and recharging battery takes 3.5 hours. If you happen to run out of electric power however, we guess you have to use your pedal power which is good exercise.
It also has a completely enclosed bike chain which means that even people wearing work attire can ride without fear of black grease stains. The electric bike is designed with the urban city professionals in mind. It is made for commuters open to clean, green and environmentally friendly way of daily transport. Hate climbing up the hills? Push the turbo boost button on the left handlebar and the bike coast up hills with ease, arrive to work with no sweat.
Already available in the UK, GoCycle plans to launch in Europe and the US market later this year. We hope it will find its way to Australiasia sooner rather than later…
