The flicking pages of a colourful book may been the idea of the concept behind this versatile low chair from cate&nelson. The clever design of Cate Högdahl and Nelson Ruiz-Ascal, provides a unique piece of furniture with multi-coloured layers of felt combined with white-lacquered steel.

You can change its colour and mood at the simple turn of a felt layer! Maybe they should have called this chair ‘Chameleon’ instead?

The Swedish-Spanish design team’s aim is to create products to stand out with a combined function. Another great design piece is their Fiat Lux table lamp with an integrated slot for books or magazines. When lit, the letters “Fiat Lux” show on the side of the lamp. It is Latin for “Let there be light” . Very clever designs indeed!
