Wow, finally a pair of underwear that makes an effort to breathe… yeah, literally by reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere! The Mitch Dowd Green mens underwear range is made from organic cotton and bamboo, all produced using Oeko-Tec certified manufacturing techniques. This means that at the end of the garment’s lifecycle there will be less chemicals going back into the ground if and when they end up as landfill. Not only do the underwear manufacturer use organic fibres, greenhouse gas emissions from production to final delivery have been measured and reported by the Carbon Reduction Institute.

The green partnership between Mitch Dowd and Origin Energy is the underwear manufacturer’s step closer to produce carbon neutral underwear by purchasing carbon offsets from Origin. The Carbon Reduction Institute has conducted an extensive lifecycle analysis of the production supply chain, Mitch Dowd has purchased carbon offsets through Origin to offset the emissions created during the production and transportation process. With every pair of Mitch Dowd Green undies or boxers purchased, customers are also encouraged to reduce their own environmental footprint even more with 10% off carbon offsets. Origin will help Mitch Dowdoffset their activities with projects such as waste composting, traditional flaring and energy efficiency programs.
