Brooks Glycerin 8 runners

As the chilly winter months are creeping over The Southern Hemisphere, most people seem to be hibernating, curling up on their couches, stocking up with comfort food and dropping their New Year resolutions of staying fit. Well, wake up y’all! Now is actually the best time to stay active and we got our hands (or shall we say feet) on Brooks new range of Glycerin 8 runners.

Shopping for a good pair of running shoes can be a real pain to find but these kicks are screaming for us to put them on. Without being shallow, it does help being equipped with quality sports gear that delivers on promise and comfort. The Brooks Glycerin 8 shoes are packed with advanced hi-tech materials (too much technical jargon to list here!) but the key feature is Brooks DNA cushioning system. It delivers a customised ride for runners of all sizes and speeds, engineered to responds to your every step, dispersing impact and providing ideal comfort and stability as the pace changes.

As we always try to favour sustainable products, it is good to know the Brooks Glycerin 8 runners are also eco-friendly, featuring BioMoGo midsole, world’s first-ever biodegradable midsole for running shoes and laces made from 100% recycled materials. In terms of styling, we do like the mens style slightly better with its more edgy look of wider mesh (picture above) and colour options although the womens are just as comfy (picture below). We are far from hardcore joggers but are springing forward with ease in these. So far, so good. We will continue to roadtest and hopefully these bad boys will keep us on our feet this winter.

Run happy, as they say!
