It’s good to be wearing wood and that’s what Good Wood NYC is hyping. To accessorize, they are taking the hip hop bling from the late 80s and ditching the shine in favour of the grainy texture that only timber can offer.

Good Wood NYC is based in Brooklyn, USA and for a few years their laser-cut designs have been hanging around necks, pressed into earlobes and wrapped around fingers. Good Wood range of necklaces, earrings, pendants and rings, is large enough that in true hip hop style you could pop a tag on one of their pieces almost every day.

The small team at Good Wood NYC has hooked up some interesting collabs recently; they dropped a whole range of coloured pieces for the World Cup. Also, Big Boi from Outkast just released a limited run of 400 pieces last week. The Atlanta rapper is not the only hip hop legend rocking Good Wood: Snoop Dogg, Nas, Lil John and KRS One have all been giving the timber some time on their chests.

However, if 400 pieces means 399 too many other people rocking your style then Good Wood also creates custom made accessories out of Zebrawood, Bloodwood, Lacewood, Purple heart and Birch.
