Mercedez-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week Spring Summer 2011 took place the past week and since its inception in 2005, the catwalk has grown its slate to support nearly forty Scandinavian design houses twice annually. Its primary focus being to attract the international fashion community of press and buyers to Swedish and Scandinavian design.

“Fashion Week features the most prominent Swedish designer shows, industry seminars, and special events. It all takes place under one roof – inside our 145-year-old entertainment complex, Berns Salonger. Therefore, Berns catwalk has grown into one of the most significant platforms for the future of Swedish design houses”, says Yvonne Sörensen Björud, CEO Berns Salonger and Chair of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Advisory Board.

All activities coordinated by the Swedish Fashion Council, are part of another separate schedule held during the same week of Stockholm Fashion Week.
