RSFF: Diet Coca-Cola Little Black Dress show
Diet Coca-Cola showcased a stellar crop of talents and their fabulous ruffs on the beloved “Little Black Dress” at Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival 2009. The project is inspired by the classic coke bottle and about celebrating every woman’s unique curves, making them look hot in black.
Australian designers included in the project to interpret their own versions are Alex Perry, Sass & Bide, Willow, Alice McCall, Alpha 60, Kate Sylvester, Kirrliy Johnston, Marnie Skillings, Romance Was Born and international Missoni.
“A little black frock is essential to a woman” Christian Dior, 1954.
Needless to say, Monsieur Dior would never steer us wrong nor for that matter would Hubert de Givenchy who turned Audrey Hepburn into a fashion world icon in the gorgeous black tailored outfit in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
