Photos from Melbourne Fashion Week 2009
As L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Week 2009 is finishing up this weekend, we have gathered some snapshots from the past week. The fashion trends have been many and wide in range this time around, from volume and shapes with puffed skirts and balloon trousers to linear luxury slim line dresses and skirts. We have also noted tuxedo dressing with slick suits as well as checked clothes with references of herringbone and plaid.
The gothic dark is still around but with all the darkness, there seem to be designers that equally seek out a counter balance with strong and vibrant colours. 1940′s glamour has also made a comeback to rediscover the womanly hourglass silhouette and the new pant for 2009 fuses the two most recent trends of high waist that slims down to the ankle – think harem pants!
It seems to us that there is no right or wrong but a myriad of ways to express yourself. Enjoy the photos by Lucas Dawson from L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Week 2009.
