Vivienne Westwood Red Label Autumn/Winter 2011 collection was showcased at recent London Fashion Week (LFW), paying a homage to the idea of the Royal Family. Many would proabably say the collection was leaning more towards Alice in Wonderland with the extremely quirky and flamboyant signature style that is Vivienne Westwood. It has sparked speculation that Kate Middleton has turned to her for a bridal gown but all the rumours have been hushed. “She’s definitely not going to get it from me, or I would have heard,” said the designer.

Vivienne Westwood even suggested that her designs my be too fashion-forward for Kate; “I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style.”

While we wouldn’t be able to pull off the full throttle looks from the catwalk, we love how Vivienne always setting rather than following trends. We hope to see colourful pieces from stockings, scarves and headpieces to knitted cardigans and quirky skirts working its way into wardrobes this Winter one by one.
