Finsk shoes
Finland should not only be proud of Marimekko, Finlandia vodka, Nokia and their sauna parties, Julia Lundsten has made a name for herself as a most promising and gifted shoe designer, with her label Finsk (which actually means Finnish in Swedish), launched in 2004. Enjoy photos from latest Spring/Summer 2010 Finsk shoes collection.
London-based Julia Lundsten has been dubbed the Eames of footwear with a strong vision and unique directional style in her designs. She graduated from London’s Royal College of Art in 2003 and won the prestigious Manolo Blahnik Award two years running. With an architect father and interior designer mother, perhaps there is no suprise that Julia has a cultivated eye for design. Taking inspiration from architecture, the structures found in nature and contrasting leathers, wooden sculptured heels are created into masterpieces.
