Danish-born Camilla Skovgaard has come a long way from being haute couture trained in the fashion capital Paris to design in Dubai for the Gulf Sheikhs’ wives and daughters. In a place where shoes were often ignored, tucked in under long dresses, Camilla sparked a passion for shoes. This lead to an amazing journey involving local tailors, embroidery technicians, the late President H.H. Sheikh Zayed al Nahyan’s, a diamond show and more!

After 7 years in Dubai, Camilla moved to London to complete a degree in shoemaking and has since won numerous prestigious awards as a shoe designer. Saks Fifth Avenue in the US bought her first shoes and she was also appointed shoe designer for British fashion house Matthew Williamson with whom she is collaborating on 7th season (AW09-10).

We love how Camilla Skovgaard unique footwear are not following but actually setting the trends. Her shoe collections predominately includes killer high heels but also boots, pumps, flats and sandals which all have gained recognition for fluid-edged style and sustainable aesthetic in high quality.
