A new range of ‘recessionista totes’ have been born as affordable and greener alternatives to plastic bags with hand screen printed messages to stimulate shopping for the economy. Yes, encouraging eco shopping tote bags for both the economy and ecological environment.

We like the positive message of ‘Keep Calm and Carry On Shopping’ based on old propaganda posters from Great Britain during World War 2 and the “Shop for the Economy” in an art deco-style font and foliage. The shopping totes are 100% cotton and available in four designs, two styles (shopper with handles or messenger in sling style strap) and a range of colours. Made in China and hand screen printed in Jaime Beattie‘s Brisbane studio.

As Jaime says within this global financial crisis; “If the Prime Minister says we should get out there and buy stuff, who am I to argue?”
