As London’s grey skies subside and make way for spring, the desire to find the perfect swimsuit for the summer holidays becomes every girl’s priority. Whether you need something for a romantic European minibreak, sailing around the Greek Islands or sun baking in your local park, Australian swimwear label Luca has something for everyone.

Good friends and business partners, Clare Robertson and Kate Thomson, set up Luca when the hope of finding the perfect swimsuit fell flat. With Robertson from a design background and Thomson’s skills in Marketing, they launched their label in 2010. The name Luca originated from Robertson meeting an inspiring, effortlessly cool and easy-on-the-eye Italian man -someone who possessed the three traits that they wanted the label to represent.

Luca was designed with the iconic eras of the 60′s and 70′s in mind with a modern twist so as to appeal to a wider audience. The current collection has a warm colour palette differing from the usual bright colours and prints of most Australia swimwear labels. Luca is currently stocked in Cheap Monday in Bondi.
