Brazilian swimwear label Lenny is finally launching this month in Australia and New Zealand – our favourite when subtly revealed among other swimwear brands on the Summer Holiday Swimwear runway at Rosemount Fashion Week 2009.

We wonder why it has taken Lenny so long to reach our sunkissed nation? Over the years, many top model careers have kicked off with Lenny catwalks adorned by the likes of Giselle Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Michelle Alves and Devon Aoki.

Lenny Niemeyer first arrived on the scene in Rio in 1980. As a true Brazilian beach lover, she spent much of her time near the water and discovered a gap in the market for a sophisticated swimsuit. Since the debut runway in 1996, Lenny has become synonymous with High Fashion swimwear and the brand has transformed into a true fashion legend in Brazil with exports to Latin America and the Middle East plus representatives in USA, Europe and Africa.

The daring and fashion-forward designs feature luxurious materials, bold colours and dramatic sexy styling. The luxury swimwear label offers chic, high fashion one piece swimsuits as well as tastefully designed two piece bikinis. All of the swimwear plays close attention to detail and highlighting femininity with use of luxurious materials, bold colours and dramatic for sexy styling – clearly targeting a distinctive type of woman.
