Tape Lamp is the product of creative collaboration between Denis Krylov, Yuri Pitomtsev and Andrei Hakhovich or Transparent House as the design teamis called. They opted to pack 100 of them packed into a plexiglass frame for a visual treat. You can still wind each one back and forth with your fingers for fun or to change the look of it. (more…)

While we always have a pre-love for Herman Miller chairs, we only wish we had the money to afford these designer chairs. Eurowalls and Studio Equator took wallpaper from wall covering to fine art in the Designer Faces exhibition during recent Saturday in Design 2010 in Melbourne. When combined with the talent at Studio Equator, a Richmond-based graphic design studio, Eurowalls wall coverings were transformed into larger-than-life wallpaper portraits that capture the essence of celebrity designers. Dutch homeware brand Royal VKB of bv Koninklijke van Kempen & Begeer was founded in 1789 in The Netherlands. With a combination of traditional craftsmanship, they seem to constantly re-innovate themselves by using new techniques to create stylish and functional products. We all agree that good design should have awareness of how people live and deal with specific everyday situations. These guys know their stuff and also realise that people does not suddenly change lifestyle, but may gradually slip into a new one. (more…)

The Blow Sofa from Malafor studio in Milan is made from 100% recycled paper dunnage bags with a metal rack and rubber straps.
