Levi’s sculpture by architect Ian McChesney, London

British architect Ian McChesney Levi’s sculpture is part of the Regent Street Windows Project in London which coincides with the launch of the Levi’s Waterless Jeans project. The sculpture is based on water and fluidity with over 100 pairs of jeans fixed together in the shape of a giant whirlpool. (more…)

Martin Luther King as Typography

Martin Luther King and public speaking are almost synonymous with one another. King’s profound prose moved a nation and started a fire against racism that still burns today. One can hardly imagine a history textbook existing without his words gracing the pages. It seems appropriate that Motion Graphic Designer Alex Verlan of Versa Studios in Ukraine decided to use typography when creating a portrait of this legend. (more…)

Tiny Dynamite exposition, Paris

Raul Diaz is a familiar face in the battle between Polaroid and digital photography. A renowned Polaroid photographer he is part of the underdog pack that has fought for the survival of this niche art. His retrospective collection Tiny Dynamite that he showed at La Botica boutique in Paris this week illustrated the variety and diversity that can be achieved with this kind of film. Crazy emulsion pressing, faded or over exposed developing, layering of raw material even pixilation. (more…)
