We have previously featured Good Wood NYC and now on the American west coast, we have stumbled upon Shwood Eyewear that also think wood is good. They say the label was born out of limb of a Madrone tree, a rusty pair of cabinet hinges, and lenses from the corner store. I would have expected her to be rocking some ‘shine blockas’ from a major Italian design house, instead she has been spotted wearing frames designed by Perks and Mini Colab Sunglasses. The three Sydney-based guys from Colab dropped their new summer range a little while ago which continues their ethos of giving a blank design brief to internationally recognised art making monsters and telling to them run free. While Colab reel in big fish from overseas to design frames that allow punters to hide their peepers, they also lasso local talent including Kill Pixie, Brett Chan, Timba Smits, Jonathon Zawada and Deanne Cheuk. In Brazil, Absolut Vodka has launched special kits of their super premium version Absolut 100 for their Father’s Day. Within the concepts of high quality, luxury and uniqueness – the essence of Absolut 100 – the vodka label has selected three visionaries fashionistas to develop, together with the brand, unique and modern gifts for the modern man. Only 50 kits per store have been produced and marketed only in the capital of São Paulo. The curators of the project are stylists Felipe and Ricardo Bruno. (more…)
