Duran Duran is a sure given on summer roadtrips with their pop tunes surviving decades of re-play. Now comes their latest new single Girl Panic with of course synths and supermodels as entourage – they claim to be the first to ever have used models in their videos. The original supermodels – Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Yasmin LeBon and Helena Christensen – are probably as old as the band and star in the below film clip director by legandary Jonas Åkerlund. The twist: Rather than starring themselves, they play the parts of the band members – singing, doing controversial interviews and acting very rock ‘n’ roll. H&M’s collaboration with Versace will be released in selected stores worldwide mid-November. The first photos of the collection have been released featuring striking print designs, studded leather dresses and silky frocks as well as men’s shoes, accessories and tailored suits. They have even promised some glamorous home ware such as cushions and bed spreads for a luxe living.

Donatella Versace is the creative lead and has personally created the collection which is bringing back some of the more iconic Versace clothes from the 80′s which was the primetime of the Italian fashion house. Here are some photos while we await the full collection. (more…)

The set design at Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel catwalks always have a magnitude that few are able to emulate. Similar to the Louis Vuitton x Marc Jacobs SS12 show, they delivered a magical and fairy tale like show. The Grand Palais was transformed into Ariel and Captain Nemo’s underwater world, decorated in transparent plastic and white interior. The models came out from a cave to showcase the Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 collection among sea shells and white corals. (more…)
