Brazilian swimwear label Lenny is finally launching this month in Australia and New Zealand – our favourite when subtly revealed among other swimwear brands on the Summer Holiday Swimwear runway at Rosemount Fashion Week 2009.

We wonder why it has taken Lenny so long to reach our sunkissed nation? Over the years, many top model careers have kicked off with Lenny catwalks adorned by the likes of Giselle Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Michelle Alves and Devon Aoki.

Lenny Niemeyer first arrived on the scene in Rio in 1980. As a true Brazilian beach lover, she spent much of her time near the water and discovered a gap in the market for a sophisticated swimsuit. The lunchtime catwalk shows of Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival 2009 kicked off with the colourful Seafolly Summer 09 swimwear collection. Unfortunately, Seafolly 2009 ambassador, Jess Hart did not appear on runway but was screened prior the show in a pre-recorded clip sporting a Seafolly bikini and Ray Ban clubmaster sunglasses – definite must-haves this Summer.
