What if by drinking a beer, you could do something incredible for someone else? End of last year, we came across the rumours of Shebeen, Australia’s first non-for-profit bar, to pop up in Melbourne. Exotic beers and wines from the developing world will be sold with profits from each drink sale supporting a development project in that drink’s country of origin. Shebeen isn’t open yet but is getting closer to securing start-up funding. Jana Brunclikova is a Sydney-based naturopath and artist. Born and raised in the Czech Republic, she lives in Bondi, loves life and frustrates surfers while swimming from north to south.
