What if by drinking a beer, you could do something incredible for someone else? End of last year, we came across the rumours of Shebeen, Australia’s first non-for-profit bar, to pop up in Melbourne. Exotic beers and wines from the developing world will be sold with profits from each drink sale supporting a development project in that drink’s country of origin. Shebeen isn’t open yet but is getting closer to securing start-up funding. Jana Brunclikova is a Sydney-based naturopath and artist. Born and raised in the Czech Republic, she lives in Bondi, loves life and frustrates surfers while swimming from north to south. Jana has spent the last seven years studying Health Science and trying to attain an Australian residency, financed from the money from her last exhibition.
